Job summary

Procom is seeking a Dayforce Payroll Lead to guide payroll configuration and implementation for a growing enterprise project. You will be the go-to payroll expert for the project team, ensuring the system is configured to client requirements, tested properly, and ready for go live.

You will coach and support junior team members, coordinate with project managers, HR, finance and technical teams to keep milestones on track, and develop training materials for client payroll teams across Canada.

Qualifications

  • Several years of hands-on experience configuring or implementing Dayforce payroll.
  • Canadian payroll knowledge including deductions, year-end reporting, provincial requirements.
  • Experience leading testing cycles and parallel payrolls.
  • Ability to explain technical topics to clients in plain language.
  • Experience coordinating with project managers, system integrators, and cross-functional teams.
  • Dayforce certification and payroll designation are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration of Dayforce payroll and related modules based on client requirements.
  • Translate payroll policies, pay rules, and earnings/deduction setups into system design.
  • Plan and run payroll testing (unit, UAT, parallel runs).
  • Review and sign off on configuration work by others/partners.
  • Collaborate with PMs, HR, finance, and technical teams to hit milestones.
  • Document processes and prepare training materials for client payroll teams.
  • Flag risks early and propose fixes before timelines are affected.
  • Support go-live and stabilization after launch.
  • Mentor junior consultants and specialists on the team.

Dayforce Payroll Lead (Implementation)On behalf of our client, Procom is looking for a Dayforce Payroll Lead to guide payroll configuration and implementation work for a growing enterprise project. You will be the go to payroll expert for the project team, making sure the system is configured to the client's requirements, tested properly, and ready for a smooth go live. You will also coach and support more junior team members along the way.What you will do-Lead the configuration of Dayforce payroll and related modules based on client requirements-Translate payroll policies, pay rules, and earnings and deduction setups into accurate system design-Plan and run payroll testing, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, and parallel payroll runs-Review and sign off on configuration work completed by other team members or integration partners-Work with project managers, HR, finance, and technical teams to keep milestones on track-Document processes and prepare training material for client payroll teams-Flag risks early and recommend practical fixes before they affect timelines-Support go live and the stabilization period after launch-Mentor junior consultants and specialists on the teamWhat you bring-Several years of hands on experience configuring or implementing Dayforce payroll-Strong working knowledge of Canadian payroll, including statutory deductions, year end reporting, and provincial requirements. US payroll knowledge is a strong asset-Experience leading testing cycles and parallel payrolls-Comfort working with client stakeholders and explaining technical topics in plain language-Experience coordinating with project managers, system integrators, and cross functional teams-Dayforce certification and a payroll designation such as CPA, PCP, or CPP are assets-Knowledge of Dayforce general ledger or workforce management is a plusLocation: Remote, CanadaDuration: 12 monthsSecurity Clearance: Must be eligible for an Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.This posting is for an existing vacancy.This employer uses both human and technology-assisted tools to support candidate screening and assessment.
