Job summary

CHEP Canada is hiring a Mechanic Team Leader in Edmonton to manage the service centre's maintenance priorities, including preventive maintenance and repairs, while leading a team and upholding CHEP's safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial maintenance, 2+ years of leadership, and hands-on skills with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical basics, and welding. Competitive benefits accompany a full‑time, on‑site schedule.

About the Role

The Mechanic Team Leader executes business priorities with the service centre including and not limited to preventative maintenance and repairs within the scope of training, policy and regulation, team management; while meeting company standards for safety, security, and productivity while adhering to CHEP's quality criteria.

Compensation

Compensation: $52.77/hr starting wage (pay increase after probation). Additional pay premium based on shift. Performance‑based production incentives, paid monthly.

Address: 11263 186 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 2T7. Monday - Friday. Shifts available: Day (6am - 2pm). Full‑time, Permanent.

What we need from you?

• Industrial Millwright License or Mechanical trade certificate
• Electrical License (asset)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in an Industrial Maintenance role
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience
• Experience in troubleshooting Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Basic Electrical knowledge
• Minor welding and fabrication skill
• Dual trade ticket with Electrical license (asset)
• Ability to safely operate power tools
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools

• Permis de mécanicien de chantier industriel ou certificat de métier mécanique
• Permis éléctrique (atout)
• Minimum 3 à 5 ans d'expérience dans un poste de Maintenance Industrielle
• Minimum 2 ans d'expérience en leadership
• Expérience dans le dépannage mécanique, en pneumatique, hydraulique et électricité de base
• Compétences mineures en soudure et en fabrication
