DataStage Developer - Contract Opportunity

Our client is seeking a DataStage developer to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will have strong analytical skills, experience in database design and implementation, and deep experience with Informatica.

This is a 3-6 month contract.

You will be responsible for:

1. Development of custom SQL scripts and stored procedures
2. Development of the ETL design document and transformation rules
3. Design, develop and implement transformation processes using Data Stage that will load/extract data into/from databases from/to various sources/destinations.
4. Performance tuning of mapping and ETL processes, as required.
5. Data Conversion Planning and Implementation
6. Prepare and execute test cases for unit and integration testing
7. Assisting in/working with the client and other consultants to map the data structure to a Cognos Business Intelligence environment (ReportNet)

Required Skills and Experience

1. Minimum 3 years experience as a DataStage developer
2. 1 year experience with DataStage version 7.5
3. Excellent experience with Informatica
4. Knowledge of dimensional and relational data modeling techniques
5. Must have experience working on large systems development or systems integration initiatives.
6. A working knowledge of Data Architecture
