Job summary

Soroc Technology in Scarborough area is seeking a Senior Data Center Technician to support operation, maintenance, and optimization of mission-critical data centers. This hands-on role requires expertise in power, cooling, environmental systems, cabling, and data center operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in data center operations, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead initiatives with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data center operations or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with data center power and cooling systems, including UPS, PDUs, generators, transfer switches, CRAC/CRAH units, and environmental controls.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale mission-critical data center environments.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, rack design, airflow management, and power distribution.
• Experience with incident management, change management, and problem management processes.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and remote sites.
• Ability to work independently and lead operational initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
