Job summary

Avanciers Incorporated is seeking a Databricks DataOps / SRE Engineer for a Toronto-based engagement. The role is hybrid and can be contracted or full-time.

You will support Databricks production, develop automation scripts in Python and shell, and help implement SRE practices, SLIs, and incident resolution. Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Data Factory, and DevOps is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Databricks production support, pipeline troubleshooting, and monitoring.
• Expertise in Databricks Jobs, Workflows, Spark execution, Azure Data Factory, and SQL.
• Experience investigating pipeline failures, cluster issues, performance bottlenecks, and data processing errors.
• Develop Python and shell scripts for operational automation, pipeline recovery, and monitoring.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
• Prepare technical runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and incident resolution documentation.
• Good to have: ServiceNow, SRE practices, SLI/SLO concepts, and Azure DevOps.

Role: Databricks DataOps / SRE Engineer

Location: Toronto, Hybrid.

Employment Type: Contract OR Fulltime

Compensation Range: CAD 50.00 60.00/Hr. + HST or 120K-130K/annum Fulltime
