Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of database architecture to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and usage.
• Define and enforce database standards and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend database technologies and tools.
• Design and implement data models, schema, and structures.
• Develop strategies for database security, backup, and recovery.
• Optimize database performance and conduct regular assessments.
• Stay updated on emerging database technologies and trends.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to database teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Architect or in a similar senior database role.
• Extensive expertise in database design, modeling, and implementation.
• In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Strong understanding of database security and compliance.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and architectures.
• Proficiency in scripting and database programming languages.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in database architecture or related field.
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS Aurora, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Understanding of data governance and master data management.
