Overview

What You Will Do

1. Lead the development and support of modern visualization tools, emphasizing the Microsoft stack and broad development practices.
2. Collaborate on innovative projects to design and implement advanced visualization tools, dashboards, and Proof of Concepts (POCs) leveraging modern data streams such as Event Hubs, Kafka, Data Bricks, and Azure Data Synapse.
3. Demonstrate expertise in analysis, design, and implementation of visualization and reporting applications, particularly using Power BI and Tableau, integrating data from non-traditional sources.
4. Gather and define requirements for web-based reports and dashboards that incorporate modern data streams beyond traditional SQL databases.
5. Oversee project execution, documentation, and testing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
6. Maintain comprehensive codebases and technical documentation to support ongoing development, focusing on modern data integration.
7. Create project plans and effort estimates for various visualization projects, considering complexity and data tools involved.
8. Provide technical support for visualization tools, resolving complex issues related to modern data streams.
9. Translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards, ensuring they meet user needs and effectively visualize data from modern sources.
10. Conduct strategic data analysis to identify insights, make recommendations, and develop data displays that communicate complex analyses effectively.
11. Organize data review sessions with stakeholders, ensuring accurate capture and validation of process details by SMEs.
12. Support automation developers by clarifying requirements and assisting with environment setup and permissions, especially for modern data tools.
13. Participate in pre-deployment and post-deployment activities, including UAT, Go/No-Go meetings, and hyper-care support, aligned with modern development practices.
14. Assist in operational issue resolution, troubleshooting production support challenges, and documenting change requests, with an emphasis on modern data tools.

What You Bring To The Role

2. Strong Analytical Skills: Expertise in analyzing complex data sets and deriving actionable insights for strategic decisions.
3. Creative Design: Ability to craft intuitive, visually appealing dashboards and reports that enhance user experience.
4. Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating clear documentation, including requirements and process diagrams.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and ensuring alignment.
6. Agile & SDLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of agile practices and SDLC for efficient project delivery.
7. Experience with Visualization Tools: 7-10 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, and other platforms.
8. Cloud Data Management: Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, CosmosDB, AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.
9. Data Integration: Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflows, Power Query.
10. Programming & Query Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, Python, SQL, DAX, T-SQL, GraphQL, PromQL, KQL.
11. Data Validation: Experience in testing and validating data accuracy and reliability.
12. Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Office 365, Teams.
13. Open-Source Technologies: Awareness of Kafka, Spark, and other frameworks.
14. Industry Trends: Keen understanding of emerging data visualization and analytics trends.

This role requires fluency in English, supporting collaboration with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.

Compensation & Values

The expected base salary range is $86,000 to $128,500, potentially including bonuses. Salary is based on location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
