Job Summary
The Division of Neurology is seeking a qualified and motivated Data Scientist to support quality improvement and operational efficiency through the analysis of health data. This position involves the extraction, collation, and interpretation of clinical and administrative data from electronic health records and other health information systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying trends related to consultation volume, inpatient admissions, billing practices, and resident workload, and will contribute to data-driven decision-making across the division.
Organizational Status
This position reports to the Head of the UBC Division of Neurology and will work under their direction.
The incumbent will collaborate with faculty members, residents, fellows, and administrative staff within Neurology, the Department of Medicine (DoM), the Faculty of Medicine (FoM), and university service units such as Digital Solutions. Engagement with external stakeholders—including Health Authority administration staff and related agencies—will also be required.
Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to meet operational demands.
