The Role:

  1. Strategic Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams to define objectives, establish KPIs, and align AI-driven solutions with business goals.
  2. Data Processing & Insights: Leverage cloud-based platforms to transform raw data, conduct exploratory analysis, and extract valuable insights.
  3. AI Model Development: Design intelligent automation tools, predictive models, and ML-driven solutions to optimize workflows and unlock new opportunities.
  4. Performance Optimization: Monitor, experiment, and fine-tune algorithms to enhance efficiency and ensure scalability.
  5. Knowledge Sharing: Document methodologies, findings, and best practices to maintain transparency and support continuous learning.
  6. Seamless Integration: Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and AI specialists to incorporate intelligent systems into operational pipelines.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Experience Level: 5+ years working in Data Science, with a strong focus on predictive analytics and machine learning.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Python, SQL (e.g., BigQuery), or PySpark for data manipulation and modeling.
  • ML Model Development: Practical knowledge of end-to-end machine learning, including feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and performance evaluation.
  • Software Engineering Foundations: Ability to develop scalable, production-ready AI models.
  • Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud services, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Comfortable working with diverse teams, including product managers, data engineers, and AI practitioners.
  • Agility & Adaptability: Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and project management skills within an Agile framework.

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-driven automation
  • Industry knowledge in telecommunications, media, or technology sectors

Duration: 10 months rolling

Day Rate: 250 - 280 CAD
