The Role

As a member of Analytics/AI team in our Data & Analytics (D n A), the person will be accountable for finding solutions to business problems using data and uncover hidden insights through extensive data mining as well as assist in the day-to-day data/reporting/dashboarding needs of business users.

  • Provide forward looking data, information, and assessments in support of decision making
  • Working as a trusted business partner, solve business problems through predictive and prescriptive analytics using varied analytical techniques and tools
  • Conduct extensive data mining to uncover hidden patterns in data and give proactive and actionable insights to the business
  • Collaborate with data engineering, data operations, and IT development teams to deploy models and algorithms in production across different channels and platforms
  • Create and apply model and algorithm testing strategies to measure the effectiveness of models and make ongoing changes
  • Support building real-time/batch data pipeline and deploy the model in a production environment
  • Prepare detailed documentation to outline data sources, models, and algorithms used and developed
  • Present results to business stakeholders and help implement real data-driven changes
  • Manage the execution of analytical projects including timeliness, quality, and client value
  • Support analytics leaders within the team in tasks as assigned with regards to defining and implementing analytics strategy and managing client relationships
  • Manage ad hoc requests from business leaders/users with appropriate prioritization
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables and adherence to policies and processes

What You Bring To The Team

  • 3+ years of financial services experience desirable
  • Good knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units
  • Production experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, customer/marketing/risk/portfolio modeling (e.g., cross-sell, acquisition, probability of default, etc.)
  • Experience working with and creating models, databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions
  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and other AI concepts and their applications
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people, and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant STEM discipline (Computer Sciences, Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics) or Finance/Economics required
  • Hands on experience with common Python and ML libraries, e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, skforecast, etc.
  • Solid SQL skills for querying relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, DB2, MySQL)
  • SSIS, SSRS, Power BI and Linux
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
