Position Description

The Data Scientist will be responsible for delivering solutions using data primarily sourced from Teradata environments.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
  • Analyze BRD/SRS documents to assess project impact and estimate effort/cost.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for implementation.
  • Participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements to solution design.
  • Investigate data/process anomalies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure data validity, integrity, and quality.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and provide actionable insights.
  • Work with BI tools in an agile environment to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Data Science teams to influence product strategy.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with Teradata and SAS (including SAS DI).
  • Strong SQL skills: writing queries, creating tables, views, and procedures.
  • Experience in data warehousing, including data mapping, transformation, and profiling.
  • Ability to translate business needs into effective technical/billing solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience handling large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical).
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
