Job summary

Infotek Consulting Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Data Scientist for a 1-year contract with a strong possibility of extension.

The role is hybrid with three days on site in Downtown Toronto, focusing on monitoring, investigations, alert triage, and threat detection. You will analyze large datasets, evaluate alert effectiveness, and optimize detection thresholds using Python, SQL, and statistical analysis, while developing insights for investigations and monitoring programs.

The Data Scientist will support the Information Security / Financial Crimes Data & Analytics team, focusing on monitoring, investigations, alert triage, and threat detection. The role will analyze large datasets, evaluate alert effectiveness, and optimize detection thresholds using Python, SQL, and statistical analysis.
