Job Summary: Parts Avatar is seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist to join our team. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a strong analytical background and a passion for turning data into actionable insights. You will contribute significantly to our data infrastructure, reporting, and analysis efforts, helping us make data-driven decisions that propel our business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on the company's data pipeline, contributing to its development and optimization.
  • Collect, preprocess, and analyze various data from diverse sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Assist in data quality initiatives and ensure data integrity across our systems.
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reports and dashboards to monitor business performance.
  • Generate actionable insights for business improvements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree required in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Comprehensive experience with the Python data stack (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
  • Fluency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and Git.
  • Soft Skills:
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases.
