Base pay range

Notes on Location:

Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required. These meetings include strategic, analytical, and technical discussions, as well as meetings with team members, senior managers, directors, and clients. The frequency may be up to 3-4 times per year, with onsite attendance possibly negotiable, especially if the resource resides outside Alberta.

Work Experience:

• At least 6 years of experience with skills in statistical and programming languages such as R, Python, SQL
• Experience in building analytical and quantitative models
• Experience with projects involving data science, data engineering, and/or AI
• Experience in preparing data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Ability to understand complex business questions and formulate analytical questions to solve them
• Knowledge of various data analytics and data science methods, including complex statistical modeling
• Familiarity with statistical and data mining techniques for addressing key business issues

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating raw data from multiple sources across domains
• Ability to communicate complex data principles effectively to clients
• Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows
• Proficiency in creating visualizations, dashboards, and analytical models
• Experience defining requirements for analytical projects
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake)
• Experience working with large government datasets
