What The Role Involves

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Assist in gathering, validating, and organizing data from various sources
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business operations
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in reports and dashboards

Reporting & Visualization

  • Lead the development of dashboards and KPI scorecards using Excel and Power BI
  • Create visually engaging and user-friendly reports to communicate insights to business users
  • Assist with maintaining and updating existing reporting tools and templates

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Document current workflows and identify inefficiencies through data and stakeholder input
  • Support small-scale process improvement initiatives and automation efforts
  • Apply design-thinking and user-focused approaches to improve data usability and accessibility

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business teams to understand reporting and data needs
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Help promote the use of data and Power BI tools across the organization

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a data analyst or similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Looker
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI and Power Query
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL
  • Experience with AlayaCare Data Exploration (DE) is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement, eliciting requirements, presenting findings, and facilitating data-driven decision-making
  • Familiarity with data-governance principles, including metadata documentation, security controls, and data privacy standards
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct ad hoc analysis in response to internal requests, supporting teams across the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve data inconsistencies and improve reporting accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with departments such as HR and Finance to understand data needs and align reporting efforts
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, SharePoint) is an asset
  • Experience in healthcare, non-profit, or other mission-driven environments is preferred
