Data Quality Engineer – Data and ML

• Hybrid- 4x per week in the London office

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Data Quality Engineer with a focus on Data and ML testing, you’ll be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of both data pipelines and machine learning model outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for data pipelines and ML models
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks (Python-based)
• Perform manual QA during new releases or complex data transformations
• Validate model predictions against benchmarks and research
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers
• Identify, document, and track data quality issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA best practices
• Communicate data insights and anomalies to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

Must-Have:

• QA or data-focused roles, with a strong focus on data centric products.
• Strong understanding of SQL to verify data consistency, accuracy,
• Proficiency in Python for test automation
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and ML concepts
• High attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and methodologies.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience testing dbt based pipelines
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of Git and Agile development practices
• Background in marketing or advertising technology
