Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Platform DevOps Engineer to lead a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative using Terraform for automating and managing Databricks and related cloud data platform resources. In this role, you will evaluate Terraform’s capabilities based our enterprise level data platform requirements, implement key use cases, and help establish best practices for infrastructure-as-code within our data platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document a Terraform-based POC for Databricks and associated cloud data services.

• Collaborate with data platform engineering, cloud, and operation support teams to identify and prioritize automation use cases.

• Develop reusable Terraform modules and templates for provisioning and managing Databricks workspaces, clusters, jobs, and other resources.

• Evaluate and document the effectiveness, scalability, and security of Terraform for data platform automation.

• Integrate Terraform workflows with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub Actions).

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams on infrastructure-as-code best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure automation and deployment.

Must Have Requirement:

1. Hands-on experience with Terraform for cloud infrastructure automation (Azure preferred) – 4 years

2. Experience with Databricks administration and automation – 2 years

3. DevOps principles, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code – 4 years

4. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) – 4 years

5. Scripting experience Python – 3 years

6. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

7. Knowledge of data platform concepts and cloud security best practices

Nice to Have:

1. Proficiency with version control systems (GitHub).

2. Prior involvement in POCs or technology evaluation
