Job summary

TD is building a modern data platform for Global Transaction Banking. As a Data Architect, you will define the GTB Data Platform architecture, drive data product and API contracts, and ensure governance, security, and observability across pipelines and services.

You will work hands-on in design reviews, develop streaming architectures with Kafka/Confluent, and mentor engineers while aligning with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering or software engineering experience, with the last 3+ in an architecture or technical leadership role.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade data platforms at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in Databricks — Delta Lake, workspace governance, cluster management, and engineering best practices.
• Strong foundation in Apache Spark and large-scale distributed data processing.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (Kafka, Confluent).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native data platform delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and steward GTB Data Platform architecture for trusted, timely data.
• Design data product architecture and API contracts across domains.
• Establish event-driven patterns using Kafka/Confluent for real-time data sharing.
• Lead architecture reviews and drive DevSecOps and CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and align with enterprise EA governance.
