Job summary

Acestack is seeking an experienced Business Analyst - TSBI to drive data migration and integration initiatives in Toronto. The role focuses on legacy system analysis and AWS-based data platforms, including IBM Netezza migration to AWS data lake environments.

You will work with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to design data models, document mappings, and ensure data quality and governance across CI/CD deployments and production workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience in data migration and integration projects.
• Proficient in SQL, data profiling, validation, and impact analysis.
• Knowledge of source-to-target mappings and data lineage.
• Experience documenting transformation rules and business logic from legacy systems.
• Understanding of L2/L3 data models and data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions).
• Experience migrating legacy data warehouses (IBM Netezza).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, compliance, and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy systems, requirements, and mappings to define data migration objectives.
• Perform data profiling, validation, and source-to-target tracing using SQL.
• Document end-to-end data lineage, transformation rules, and dependencies.
• Review legacy ETL processes and capture business rules.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and stakeholders to design L2/L3 data models.
• Prepare design documents, data movement models, and mappings.
• Support AWS-based data pipelines and migration of Netezza workloads.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and metadata management.
