Job summary

QuadReal Property Group is seeking a Data Governance Controls Analyst to implement governance standards in tooling, administer the Purview catalog, profile data, and support SOC1 and audit readiness. You will work with data stewards, risk, and IT to ensure quality and traceability.

Ideal candidate has 2–5 years in data management, strong SQL, experience with Purview or similar tools, and comfort with REST APIs and Power Automate; real estate or financial services experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data management or related field.
• 2–5 years in data management, data quality, BI/analytics, or data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills for profiling and validation.
• Experience with data catalog, metadata, or data quality tools (Microsoft Purview preferred).
• Experience with workflow automation (Power Automate) and REST APIs.
• Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI experience an asset.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline.
• Experience in real estate, investment management, or financial services an asset.
• Able to translate between technical detail and governance requirements.
• Awareness of internal controls or audit-evidence concepts (SOC1 an asset).
• Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK concepts an asset.

Responsibilities

• Catalog & metadata operations: Administer the Microsoft Purview data catalog and business glossary day to day; maintain metadata, lineage, and versioning.
• Data quality execution: Build, run, and maintain data quality scorecards; profile data using SQL and monitor quality metrics.
• Governance tooling & automation: Develop and maintain governance tooling and integrations, including Purview automation and API integration.
• Analysis & support: Prepare data, tables, and materials for stakeholder reviews; compile control evidence for SOC1 and audit requests; document processes and SOPs.
