Client Profile

Our client, is currently looking for a Corporate Law Clerk. This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.

  • Multiservice law firm servicing clients both nationally and internationally.
  • Numerous lawyers in the firm have been recognized as practice leaders by Lexpert and Best Lawyers!
  • Office located in Dufferin County.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Supporting a Partner directly;
  • Organize, plan and prioritize work depending on the current requirements;
  • File and submit documentation through the Canada Revenue Agency online portal, and monitor status of filings and documentation;
  • Manage annual minute book maintenance / filings and perform due diligence reviews on minute books;
  • Prepare draft documentation including correspondence, agreements, resolutions, minute books, federal and provincial government filings and by laws.
  • Maintain and review lawyer’s calendar daily along with proactively scheduling and handling upcoming events;
  • Maintain and input all file information into document management system and,
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • 2-3 years of experience in Corporate / Commercial Law;
  • Successful completion of Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma program;
  • Experience with charitable and not-for-profit clients will be considered an asset;
  • Familiarity with Soluno, Worldox and PC Law, considered an asset;
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams,);
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Demonstrative analytical skills, good judgment, and a and high attention to detail; and
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as with minimum supervision when required.
