Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Client Services Unit Supervisor, the incumbent processes the daily workload of requisitions for identified laboratory testing. The incumbent responds to routine physicians and health care professionals’ telephone inquiries.

Experience

  • Experience in data entry, including the ability to enter information with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
  • Experience using a Laboratory Information System, preferably LabWare or an equivalent laboratory or health-related information management software system.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
  • Windows computer environment required.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged sitting at a desk.
