Job description

Seeking a data entry specialist with banking and lending experience for a 3-month contract in Downtown Edmonton!

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately input and update financial data into internal banking systems and databases.
  2. Verify, review, and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Maintain confidentiality and security of all customer and transaction information.
  4. Retrieve and process financial documents, forms, and reports.
  5. Support account reconciliations and data audits as needed.
  6. Coordinate with banking departments to resolve discrepancies or incomplete information.
  7. Adhere to data entry protocols and financial compliance regulations.
  8. Generate routine reports and summaries for internal use.
  9. Assist in document filing and data organization.
  10. Perform other clerical or administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous banking or financial institution experience is required.
  2. Proficiency in data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  3. Strong typing speed with high accuracy (typically 8,000+ KPH or 50+ WPM).
  4. Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  5. Understanding of financial terminology and basic accounting principles.
  6. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  8. Effective communication skills for coordination with team members and other departments.
  9. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is an asset.
  10. Familiarity with core banking systems or CRM platforms (e.g., FIS, Temenos, Salesforce) is a plus.
