Job summary

QuadReal Property Group is seeking a student co-op/intern to help build and operate our next generation cloud data platform. You will work with SQL, Python, and data engineering concepts to develop data pipelines and dashboards while learning governance and observability practices.

You will contribute to automated workflows using IaC tools like Terraform and gain exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an academic program.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data engineering principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), dbt, data orchestration tools (Airflow), and CI/CD practices is an asset.
• The ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

What You Will Experience:

• Help build and operate our next generation cloud data platform in Microsoft Fabric.

• Automate core platform processes using Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) tools, such as Terraform.


• Support the implementation and monitoring of data quality and compliance frameworks.


• Develop dashboards to monitor platform observability, including health, data quality and other performance metrics.


• Collaborate across teams to promote enterprise data governance and standardization.

What You Will Bring:

• Currently enrolled in an academic program, preferably in Engineering, Science, Technology or Mathematics.


• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and working with complex data sets.


• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data engineering principles (e.g. Warehousing, ETL/ELT).


• Familiarity with cloud platforms (i.e. Azure, AWS, or GCP), dbt , data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), and CI/CD practices is considered an asset.


• The ability to problem-solve while working in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and project outcomes.

This job posting is for a newly created role within our organization.

The expected hourly ra te for this role is $28.
