Job summary

QuadReal Property Group in Toronto is seeking a Co-op/Intern, Communications, to support corporate communications and employee engagement initiatives. You will help create materials for intranet and events, and provide content and creative support for virtual and in-person events.

You're currently enrolled in an academic program with strong analytical abilities, and you bring proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an academic program related to communications, marketing or a related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and presentation abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office; graphic design or video editing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support creation of communication materials for intranet and corporate communications.
• Provide content and creative support for virtual and in-person events, including photography and video.
• Contribute ideas to enhance employee engagement and events.
• Provide administrative support to the Communications team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including our Speaker Series, Fireside Chats, Volunteer opportunities and Networking events.

Eligibility Note

To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.

Based in Toronto, the Co-op/Intern, Communications, will report to the Director, Employee Communications and Engagement . The role will assist QuadReal's internal communications and employee engagement initiatives. We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and time management skills, ready to take initiative, make connections, and steward relationships.

What You Will Experience

• Support creation of communication materials and other documents related to corporate communications and employee engagement for QuadReal's intranet and other internal tools
• Provide content and creative support for select virtual and in-person events , including photography and video
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions that drive employee engagement
• Provide administrative support to the Communications team
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Will Bring

• Currently enrolled in an academic program in a related field
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and competent in building and handling data sets
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; proficiency in graphic design and/or video editing is an asset
• Previous experience working or volunteering with a charitable, social enterprise, ESG/CSR, community development or impact sector is an asset.

The expected hourly range for this role is $22-$25.
