Job description

The Personal Services Analytics and Data Solutions Department supports various sectors in meeting their analytics needs. As a data engineering advisor, you will develop solutions for collecting, integrating, cleaning, sorting, and mining data transparently. Your role involves scaling data mining solutions and designing platforms aligned with business needs. Specifically, you will:

1. Identify analytics needs based on user feedback.
2. Produce and document data mapping specifications.
3. Implement, monitor, maintain, and improve systems that meet business needs.
4. Design and build data ingestion pipelines and transformation processes.
5. Develop algorithms, prototypes, and proofs of concept.
6. Identify opportunities for system improvements based on trends and behaviors and recommend updates.
7. Help develop procedures and document technical solutions.

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience, including 2 years in data analytics
• Relevant experience with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
• Experience with ELT tools
• Knowledge of French is required
• Knowledge of Azure services (Synapse, Data Factory, Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures/functions
• Knowledge of the continuous delivery framework
• Knowledge of multidimensional databases
• Understanding of data security (e.g., access models, data protection)
• Experience with data transformation tools, including dbt
• Knowledge of Azure MLOps and advanced analytics

Interpersonal skills are essential.
