Thales in Ottawa, Canada, is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join the Innovation Team on a hybrid basis. You will develop data pipelines, enable data needs for Agentic AI workflows, and help deploy data solutions for naval platforms in-service support programs.

The Data Engineer student will be involved in the data engineering activities in support of innovation projects that contribute to naval platforms in-service support programs. As part of the Innovation Team, the student will help deliver value to the operational team quickly in an agile and incremental way. More specifically, the Data Engineer student will work with business analysts and operational stakeholders to identify problems and find relevant data solutions that can be put in production, more specifically related to data needs related to Agentic AI workflows. The type of data solutions could range from implementing data pipelines, post processing data generated by agents, building MCF servers or implementing software that helps with decision making – while using modern development techniques and technologies.
This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List and/or the US the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access.
The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) $55,000 - $60,000 – 65,000 CAD Annual.
