Data Engineer - Python

Job Title: Data Engineer - Python

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: 6+ Months

Daily Responsibilities:

1. Implementing and automating models developed by the product team.
2. Generating statistical models based on use cases and ensuring correct correlation analysis for clients (e.g., identifying similar clients and generating insights based on similarities).
3. Turning data into code to help Capital Markets deliver real-time analytics to customers.
4. Supporting the transition from batch processing to real-time insights, helping build the framework and engine for this initiative.

Must have skills:

1. 7+ years of experience in a data science role.
2. Expert-level Python skills (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, requests, scikit-learn).
3. Strong experience in machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch (or Keras, TensorFlow, Apache Spark).
4. Hands-on experience optimizing quantitative models.
5. Deep knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
6. Experience in data engineering for distributed stream processing.
7. Previous exposure to AI tools and technologies.
8. Strong communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams, ability to translate technical terminology, strong initiative, team-first mentality, creative and curious to learn.
