Overview

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Consultant-Data Engineer to join KPI Digital. This is a fast-growing, high-visibility role in a high-tech, dynamic environment focused on Data, Analytics & AI, cloud-based digital transformation, and helping clients make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Design and set up projects that bring together information from a variety of sources to enable analysis and decision-making.
  • Ensure data is accessible and easy to use for routine and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Develop and manage data pipelines, data streams, and system integrations using one or more Microsoft Analytics services.
  • Work with data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Flink, etc.).
  • Understand database design, indexing, storage, and aggregation techniques, including clustered column store tables.
  • Ensure data security at rest and in transit; uphold data integrity and governance.
  • Scale solutions to meet performance and cost considerations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate plans, approaches, and progress clearly in both French and English.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement D&A assets with proper monitoring.
  • Stay up to date with modern D&A platform services and trends.
What You Will Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
  • Proven ability to optimize and troubleshoot data engineering processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build consensus and manage relationships.
  • Highly collaborative with consulting orientation; able to work with limited supervision and embrace ambiguity.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with development methodologies (waterfall, agile, XP, scrum).
  • Experience in dynamic, evolving environments with hybrid in-office/remote work.
  • Ability to communicate in both French and English, tailoring language to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Previous experience engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
