Job summary

MindBridge is seeking a Data Engineer to serve as the data expert during implementation, collaborating with clients and internal teams to identify data requirements, design ETL processes, and migrate data from ERP systems into MindBridge. You will translate business needs into robust data solutions and help clients adopt repeatable data practices that scale with their operations.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and SQL, Excel (including VBA), and data modeling, with hands-on ERP

Qualifications

  • 5+ years using SQL and Python on structured data
  • 5+ years ETL, data lakes, analytics, mapping and modeling
  • 5+ years customer-facing or consulting in software/tech
  • 5+ years with ERP systems (Oracle, Netsuite, Sage, SAP)

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on standardization of data structures, quality, and reuse
  • Lead end-to-end data ETL from customer ERP into MindBridge
  • Develop understanding of ERP data models to automate ETL
  • Extract, format and shape financial data
  • Troubleshoot data issues with workarounds and fixes
  • Maintain templates and docs including data requirements and mappings
  • Design data pipelines for internal analytics and dashboards
  • Be data ingestion product expert and stay up-to-date on features
  • Provide feedback to influence product decisions based on client needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer success, support, product, development, and data scientists
  • Contribute data expertise to roadmap discussions for new features

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as the data expert of the implementation process. Your role includes identifying data requirements, creating optimal data migration processes, and advising clients on how to create repeatable ETL processes.

What You will Do
  • Advise clients on how to drive standardization and best practices for data structures, quality, reuse
  • Lead the end-to-end data ETL process from a customer's ERP system into MindBridge
  • Develop an understanding of ERP financial data models to automate and manage complex ETL jobs
  • Extract, format and shape financial data
  • Troubleshoot, provide work-arounds, and permanent fixes to data issues
  • Develop & maintain internal and external facing templates and documentation, including data requirements, process, flow diagrams, and mapping
  • Design data pipelines for internal analytics, management reports and dashboards
  • Be the data ingestion product expert and stay up-to-date on new features
  • Provide feedback and influence the product decisions based on customers' needs
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with customer success, support, product management, development, and data scientists to provide innovative client solutions
  • Provide a data expert's lens to roadmap discussions to ensure future feature additions are software/release testing asrequired
What You Bring
  • Comfortable manipulating datasets with Python
  • Comfortable with creating API requests
  • Are proficient with Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL and Project Management software
  • Have a positive attitude, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team-oriented
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills and are comfortable speaking with developers, data scientists, product managers and business leaders
  • Are focused on optimizing customer experience
  • Champion change and seek new and better ways to solve problems
  • Adjust priorities on the fly and thrive in a fast-paced environment and culture
  • May be required to travel to the US, UK and EU
  • Are willing to support client requirements that, on occasion, fall outside of normal business hours
Desired education and experience:
  • 5+ years of experience of using SQL and Python building and shaping structured/semi-structured datasets
  • 5+ year’s experience working on projects and have advanced experience with ETL, data lakes, as well as data analysis and profiling, mapping, modeling, and analytics
  • 5+ year’s experience providing customer service, consulting, or support in a software/technology company
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, Netsuite, Sage, SAP, etc)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including VBA and macros
  • Computer Science/ Accounting/Business degree or equivalent experience required
  • Previous experience in accounting/audit considered a strong asset
Requirements Contingent on Employment:
  • Fulfill requirements necessary to obtain and clear a full background check
Pay Range

The expected base salary range for this position is to $90,000 to $110,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, experience and competencies, and unique qualifications.
