Job summary

Silk & Snow is hiring a Data Engineer to bridge raw data and business insights. You will design star/snowflake data models, build robust ETL/ELT pipelines with Python and SQL, and develop Power BI dashboards to track KPIs across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Operations.

The role emphasizes data quality, documentation, and scalable analytics in a fast-growing e-commerce environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 2-4 years in data-focused role with data engineering/analytics.
• Experience with dimensional models (star/snowflake).
• Advanced SQL in modeling/transformation contexts.
• Pipelines using SQL and/or Python to analytics-ready data.
• Experience with dbt for modular transformations.
• Power BI or Tableau/Looker experience.
• Familiarity with Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Design dimensional and relational data models for scalable analytics.
• Develop and maintain transformation logic to produce clean datasets.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and dbt models for data warehouse processing.
• Define data standards and modeling best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business logic into data models.
• Refine models over time as needs evolve.
• Develop Python scripts for ETL/ELT into the data warehouse.
• Build dashboards in Power BI to visualise KPIs.
