You will join a team to develop a web-based machine learning service, leveraging your expertise in data engineering, SQL, and cloud technologies. This full-time position involves building efficient data pipelines and collaborating with various stakeholders, all while working in a hybrid environment at their downtown office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data engineering, product-focused.
• Experience with GCP (BigQuery), AWS (S3, Athena, Lambda), or NoSQL/data warehouse.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, Java, and Bash.

Base pay range

CA$50.00/hr - CA$70.00/hr

• Downtown Vancouver, BC, 3 days in the office
• 6 months+, high possibility of extension, long term role
• 40 hours/week

Job Title: Data Engineer

Join us in building a web-based ML service delivering research insights from publications. We’re looking for a Data Engineer (intermediate level welcome) with experience in GCP.

Must-Have Skills:

• 2+ years in data engineering (product-focused)
• Strong SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), data modeling, and API design skills
• GCP (BigQuery), AWS (S3, Athena, Lambda), or NoSQL/Data warehouse experience
• Tools: Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Superset, GitHub Actions
• Python/Scala/Java and Bash proficiency
• BS/MS in CS or related field
