What you will do

As a Data Engineer :

You’ll analyze, design, and implement data pipeline features and infrastructure improvements.

You’ll write efficient, well-tested code and conduct unit and integration testing.

You’ll build and optimize data ingestion and ETL / ELT processes.

You’ll participate in end-to-end project delivery—from ideation to production.

You’ll identify and resolve anomalies and bugs in existing systems.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with security and product teams to embed security and compliance best practices into development processes.

You’ll contribute to the team’s agility, quality, and automation efforts (CI / CD, testing, deployment).

You’ll evaluate and advise on technical design and development decisions.

You’ll surface and communicate risks related to technology, security, or operations.

What your resume shows

Must Haves

6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or ETL development

3+ years of experience in Apache Spark or Databricks

2+ years of experience with AWS cloud services

2+ years of experience building, deploying, and optimizing data ingestion pipelines

Experience working directly with internal and external stakeholders

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Haves

Experience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka Streams)

Familiarity with tools such as Apache Kafka, Delta Lake, Apache Hive, Apache Impala, Apache Beam

Experience working in a startup environment

Experience in cybersecurity or sensitive data protection

Bilingual in English and French

Strategic preference for candidates residing in Quebec or Ontario
