Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Developer to join our R&D Data Analytics team. This team drives data-driven insights to support business strategy development, performance review, and decision-making. As a Data Developer, you are responsible for data ingestion and processing that empower advanced analytics and reporting for our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines
  • Collaborate with the team to design efficient data models for analytic use
  • Implement data transformation for efficient and clean data models
  • Establish and implement quality assurance practices on data to uphold high-quality data standards
  • Monitor data pipelines performance and optimize performances
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to data pipelines, ETL processes, and data discrepancies
  • Utilize Linux-based systems for server management and automation
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in handling data pipelines, data models and ETL
  • Extensive experience with Python and SQL
  • Proficient experience with Docker, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Iceberg, Trino, Airflow
  • Hands-on experience on data lakehouse, data warehouses and data mart
  • Experience working with Linux environments for server management and automation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and networking concepts is a plus

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $80,000-$105,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
