About the Data Engineering team

The Data Engineering team collects, organizes, and secures data from our software architecture, making it available to drive health insights for clients and partners, efficiency for care operations, and strategic decision-making for our product development and leadership teams.

Your role as Data Developer

We are seeking a product-oriented Data Developer to help us deliver more value with our growing data assets. In this role, you will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, other data developers, product managers and software developers to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data products. You will work within an agile framework, emphasizing rapid iteration and deployment while maintaining high standards of code quality and data integrity. Day to day, you will :

  • Design and implement secure end-to-end data pipelines synchronizing data from multiple data sources using Python and Airflow
  • Develop and maintain our data warehouse modeling, optimizing it for utility, extensibility, and performance using dbt and Snowflake
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver products that drive business value
  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions to ensure high-quality, maintainable products
We’d love to hear from you if you have
  • At least 1 year of meaningful experience in a data or engineering role, with a strong interest in all things data
  • Hands-on experience building, operating, and maintaining data replication and parallel processing systems AND / OR experience conforming and modelling enterprise data in a data warehouse
  • Product-oriented thinking with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into data products
  • Interest in team collaboration and knowledge sharing. You’re open to learning from senior team members and enjoy contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and ideas to your colleagues

Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
