Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Regina, Canada is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site freelance/contract work to support mission-critical infrastructure at local data center facilities. You will perform hardware installations, decommissions, migrations, structured cabling (copper and fiber), server racking, stacking, labeling, cross-connects, and patch-panel work, with detailed documentation.

Reliable, professional, and communicative, you will coordinate with remote NOC and client teams

Qualifications

• Experience in data center environments preferred.
• Ability to document work with photos and notes.
• On-site Regina, Canada proximity preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with NOC and client teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• Data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Server hardware and networking knowledge
• Reliable and professional with strong communication
• Proximity to local data center facilities
• Flexible schedule for on-call/emergency work
