Job summary
Reboot Monkey in Mississauga, Canada is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team. You will install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment across world-class data center facilities.
The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, expert cabling (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber), strong troubleshooting, and solid documentation and teamwork. This is a full-time position with on-call rotation and on-site work requirements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years data center operations experience.
- Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with rack and stack operations.
- Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems.
- Vendor certifications preferred (Dell, HPE, Cisco).
- DCIM platforms and ITIL practices preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
- Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
- Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
- Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
- Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
- Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
