Aerotek in Calgary, AB is seeking a Data Center Technician I to support mission-critical data centers. You will oversee maintenance of electrical, mechanical and life-safety systems to maintain high uptime and reliability.

This contract, fully onsite role requires willingness to work varied shifts, and you will troubleshoot and maintain generators, UPS, PDUs, AHUs, and cooling equipment while adhering to safety and security standards.

Formación

• Must obtain and maintain an active Reliability Status security clearance with the Government of Canada.
• Qualified electrical certification or equivalent credential is required.

Responsabilidades

Job Title: Data Center Technician I

Job Description

We are seeking Building Technicians to support our data centers. The Building Operations Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. As a technical resource, the Building Technician ensures mission-critical servers maintain better than 99.999% uptime and drives innovation while reducing operational costs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Serve as a technical resource within data centers.
• Ensure data center equipment maintains better than 99.999% uptime.
• Drive innovation and reduce operational costs in facilities.
• Respond to electrical and mechanical issues affecting data center availability.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as diesel generators, switchboards, UPS's, PDU's, AHU's, CRAHUs, CRAC's, pumps, motors, VFD's, and building automation systems.

Essential Skills

• Experience in HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in electrical systems.
• Facilities maintenance expertise.
• Preventive maintenance skills.
• Repair skills for electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain an active Reliability Status security clearance with the Government of Canada.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with flexibility required for other shifts and holidays as the data center operates 24/7.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
