Job summary

Huawei Canada is seeking an IT Associate Manager on a 12-month contract to oversee regional data center implementation and maintenance. The role covers servers, storage, networks, and IT infrastructure, with responsibilities from procurement to incident handling to ensure continuous business operations.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in CS/IT and at least 4 years in data center management, plus familiarity with ITIL, Windows and Linux systems, and network basics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or IT related areas
• At least 4 years relevant experience in data center management
• Familiar with IT devices such as servers and networks; strong hardware knowledge; LAN switching and routing experience
• Experience in data center O&M management, e.g. cooling or power distribution
• Familiar with ITIL; basic network and OS knowledge
• Maintaining Windows and Linux operating systems; relevant certifications are a plus
• Understanding of data center power, cooling, and fire suppression systems
• Familiar with data center networking and common devices configuration

Responsibilities

• Regional/office data center implementation and maintenance
• System implementation and maintenance: Windows server, web apps, databases, storage
• IT infrastructure construction and maintenance
• Handle changes and incidents related to data center infra; ensure smooth operations
• Quotations, bidding, negotiation, and supervision of service providers' work
• IT devices such as servers and networks: LAN switching and routing maintenance
• Implement IT standards/policies; analyze requirements and initiate IT projects
