Job summary

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Data Architect to establish and evolve data standards, models, and technical solutions that align with the Canada data strategy and technology directions. You will translate business requirements into technology specifications, define data standards, map data flows, and collaborate with multiple departments, partners, and vendors to deliver reliable data solutions.

The role focuses on data governance, architecture, and modern data platforms to support enterprise

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Architect.
  • Experience implementing GAI/GenAI into enterprise systems.
  • Background in MLOps, CI/CD for ML pipelines, or automated model lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience in database builds and BI tools like Tableau, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, PowerBI.
  • Advanced analytics, AI/ML, data source analysis, and data management expertise.
  • Master Data Management experience with Ataccama or similar.
  • Proficiency with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
  • Experience with Boomi iPaaS integration.
  • Strong database skills: MS SQL, Oracle, AWS Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, ProgressDB.
  • Familiarity with open-source tools: Sqoop, KNIME, RapidMiner, Elasticsearch, Pig, Hive, Kafka.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture platforms (LeanIX preferred).

  • Develop data solutions to store and retrieve company information.
  • Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
  • Apply data governance best practices and tool experience.
  • Support business and technology initiatives to improve data quality and timeliness.

Work on a flexible hybrid schedule. Current work authorization for Canada is required. The work location is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until late 2026, after which it will move to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

How You’ll Make An Impact

What You Will Do
  • Align with enterprise data strategy and collaborate with international partners.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
  • Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data, and master data.
  • Define reference architecture patterns for improving data systems.
  • Map data flows and manage data transitions.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.
  • Develop data solutions to store and retrieve company information.
  • Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
  • Apply data governance best practices and tool experience.
  • Support business and technology initiatives aimed at improving data quality and timeliness.
What We’re Looking For
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Architect.
  • Experience implementing RAG architectures, fine‑tuning LLMs, or integrating GenAI into enterprise systems.
  • Background in MLOps, CI/CD for Machine Learning pipelines, or automated model lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience in database logical and physical builds and expertise in BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and PowerBI.
  • Advanced skills in Analytics, AI/ML, data source analysis, and overall data management.
  • Master Data Management experience with Ataccama or similar vendors.
  • Proficiency with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with data warehousing, ideally Snowflake.
  • Experience with integration platforms, specifically Boomi iPaaS.
  • Strong database build skills and experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, AWS Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and ProgressDB.
  • Familiarity with open‑source tools such as Apache Sqoop, KNIME, RapidMiner, Elasticsearch, Pig, Hive, and Kafka.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture management platforms (LeanIX preferred).

  • Base Salary and discretionary performance bonus: annual range of $140,000 to $170,000, based on experience and qualifications.
