Salary: Up to £90,000 (Dependent on Experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Architect to join our architecture team at Covéa Insurance.

The right Data Architect will play a pivotal role in this transformation, ensuring that our data strategy is robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

While technical proficiency is essential, Covéa is looking for someone who can use their knowledge of data products, platforms, methodologies, and governance to understand our ambitions, investigate root problems, foster team collaboration, and guide the business through this journey.

This role is hybrid, involving a mix of working from home and from our Halifax office.

Responsibilities
  • Designing data structures and integrations for rapid and effective solution delivery.
  • Developing architecture patterns, solutions, and Target Architecture aligned with business needs.
  • Acting as design authority on Data projects, ensuring adherence to standards and architecture.
  • Supporting high-profile, large-scale projects and programs.
  • Driving solution adoption, building consensus, and resolving constraints.
  • Ensuring architecture meets project objectives and requirements.
  • Defining and managing requirements in collaboration with customers.
  • Operating within governance processes and reviewing changes for compliance.
Qualifications
  • Experience in designing high-quality, data-centric solutions at various levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and managing structured and unstructured data.
  • Experience with relational and graph databases.
  • Knowledge of Data frameworks such as Data Vault, Kimball, and Inmon.
  • Understanding of Databricks, Unity Catalog, DLT, and external connectors.
  • Experience with cloud and on-premise Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Cloud architect/data architect certifications (Databricks, AWS, Azure) preferred.
  • Assertiveness and understanding of complex business challenges.
