GuruLink is seeking a Data Architect / Data Platform Leader to build a comprehensive core data ecosystem remotely. The ideal candidate will work on ingesting healthcare data and ensuring compliance with standards while overseeing a robust data architecture. This role requires significant expertise in data management and cloud-native platforms, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Seeking a Data Architect / Data Platform Leader who can build our core data ecosystem from scratch — ingesting data from wearables, PDFs, and EMRs into a clean, governed, AI-ready lakehouse that powers our entire product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ingest, normalize, and store Healthcare data from wearables (Oura, Apple Health), EMRs (FHIR, HL7), and unstructured documents (OCR/NLP)
- Design scalable and validated (or validation-ready) streaming, batch, and microbatch Data Management Architectures for operational and analytical use cases, leveraging OLTP, Lake House, and other relevant reference architectures and data and intelligence platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Enable AI & Analytics through structured, semantic, time-series-ready data models
- Ensure Governance & Compliance with HIPAA, PHIPA, and GDPR standards
- Own Tooling Stack: ETL/ELT (Airbyte, dbt), observability, metadata management
- Implement Data governance framework

Must Have Skills:
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years in data architecture/engineering, ideally in healthcare or wearables
- Experience architecting zero-to-one cloud-native platforms
- Deep familiarity with health data standards (FHIR, HL7, JSON, CDA, etc.)
- 5+ years of Data management ETL/ELT pipelines implementations - streaming, batch, and Micro-batch
- Extensive experience delivering BI and AI solutions with Cloud Data and Intelligence platforms such as Data Bricks or Snowflake
- Skilled in Python, SQL, and security-forward data design
