BCtechjobs is seeking a Data Architect for a 6-month contract in Vancouver. The role focuses on designing, developing and implementing scalable Snowflake-based data solutions for data integration and reporting.

It offers a hybrid in-office setup in downtown Vancouver with a strong emphasis on semantic modeling, DevOps practices and multi-region cloud architectures to support a fast-growing global business.

Formación

• 5+ years experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data technologies.

As a result of investment in technology, our client is looking to add a Data Architect to their data and analytics team to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in Snowflake and PowerBI, and the ability to collaborate across functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and resilience of data architecture. In this role you will own the architecture behind the datasets and reporting that power both stores and the broader business. This is a highly technical role focused on Snowflake and Power BI infrastructure, spanning the full project lifecycle from requirements through implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with semantic modeling and DevOps practices to build solutions that are scalable, reliable, and built to support a fast-growing global business. This is a rapidly growing team delivering huge ROI to the business.

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 5+ years of experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data technologies
• 5+ years of advanced-level usage of data management and Power BI tools
• 3+ years of ETL experience including advanced SQL, data modeling, and scripting
• Experience designing and building cloud native data solutions, including high availability and fault tolerant implementations
• Experience with semantic modeling and DevOps processes
• Experience building and architecting highly distributed, secure multi-region cloud based systems

Compensation:

This role pays between $95-105 per hour.
