Flex work location

Located at our Head Office, 19295 25th Avenue, Surrey V3S 3X1, this is a full-time permanent position. Monday to Friday from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM . After probation, hybrid work (3 in-office, up to 2 remote) may be offered, subject to manager approval based on schedule, role, and performance. Occasional after-hours availability required for upgrades and outages.

We are seeking a Data & Applications Manager to lead a hybrid role focused on optimising enterprise applications, improving data flow, and managing the technical team that supports these platforms. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys both strategic oversight and in-the-weeds problem solving.

What to expect in the role

50% Team Leadership & Application Support

Lead a team responsible for application support, helpdesk prioritisation, and digital systems performance.

Coach, mentor, and conduct code reviews; enforce technical standards and documentation practices.

Ensure best practices, SOPs, and security protocols are followed across systems.

Collaborate cross-functionally to drive adoption of digital tools and a strong user experience.

Liaise with vendors and support the VP in shaping technical roadmaps and project execution.

50% Hands-on Technical Contribution

Contribute directly to complex support tickets, data integrations, reporting, automation, and system tuning.

Maintain and enhance business-critical applications, including ERP, CRM, WMS, and eCommerce platforms.

Lead efforts in API development, automation, and process improvement.

Deliver staff training and create supporting documentation for systems and tools.

Monitor and troubleshoot outages in hybrid SaaS / on-prem environments.

Who we're looking for

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of technical experience in systems integration, SQL Server, APIs, and enterprise applications.

2+ years in a leadership or team management role.

Experience in the distribution industry is an asset.

Technical Skills

Technical Solution Design or Technical Application Support experience with SQL Server, experience supporting large platforms such as ERPs, CRMs, and Data Analytics

Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, M365, SharePoint, MS Teams, Salesforce, HubSpot, and reporting tools.

Familiar with ERP, WMS, and eCommerce systems.

Experience with integration platforms, low-code / no-code tools, and process automation.

Solid understanding of security protocols and best practices.

Leadership & Communication

Collaborative leadership style with a strong alignment to E.B. Horsman’s values.

Skilled in project planning, team communication, and change management.

Comfortable working across departments and with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to manage conflict professionally and maintain strong working relationships.

Note : All team members, including managers, must maintain an RCMP background security clearance.
