The Data & Analytics Product Manager is responsible for setting the strategy and vision for novel products and solutions in a growing division of Surescripts. This role involves overseeing the development and execution of the Data & Analytics product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs. This Data & Analytics Product Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing features and successful market launches. This role also includes mentoring junior product managers and analysts.
Responsibilities:Strategy and Planning:Define, execute, and maintain roadmaps for emerging data and/or analytics products.
Communicate roadmap updates to Surescripts leadership and cross-functional partners.
Monitor post-launch progress of features and releases via product utilization statistics and customer feedback.
Capture and analyze new product ideas for potential value and viability.
Learn and iterate on alpha and MVP product versions.
Define and prioritize product features with input from data scientists and data analysts.
Along with the Director of Data Product Commercialization, work with Legal to understand data usage rights requirements and their impact on product features.
Collaborate with Marketing teams for effective market launch strategies.
Develop educational materials and training sessions for users and stakeholders.
Serve as product subject matter expert within Surescripts and in the industry in terms of product capabilities, competition, user need, value proposition, revenue drivers, and industry standards.
Perform product and feature demos for customers in emerging market segments.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Mentor junior team members.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of progressive experience in related roles.
5+ years in healthcare or related fields (e.g., EHRs, HIEs, Public Health).
Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NCPDP, HL7, FHIR).
Experience in assessing market and customer needs for healthcare data and/or analytics products.
Experience in building and managing new products from concept through launch.
Experience defining product strategy and prioritizing features.
Experience managing all aspects of the product lifecycle.
Ability to promote/communicate new concepts and gain stakeholder support.
Experience in physician vendor applications, pharmacy, or PBM services.
User-Experience Design training or background.
Experience with Aha! for Product Management.
Pragmatic Marketing Certification.
Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML).
Master's degree in a related field.
