CA$130,000.00/yr - CA$165,000.00/yr

Location: must reside in Canada

Typical Hours: Monday-Friday; ~45 hours/week

Our client, a growing SaaS company, is looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join their remote team from Canada. You’ll design, develop and optimize robust analytics systems and data architectures. This role requires deep expertise in creating complex SQL queries, leveraging modern data warehouse platforms (Snowflake or similar) and developing analytics and reporting systems from the ground up. Proficiency in Python and strong architectural capabilities to design scalable and high-performance systems are essential. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in both development and architecture and is eager to define the future of analytics platforms. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll work hands-on as an individual contributor with opportunities for growth as the company continues to scale, and work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership. This is a unique opportunity to shape a modern BI infrastructure for a growing subscription management SaaS platform at the intersection of finance and technology, surrounded by a team who has taken similar widely used products to market.

• Architect scalable data pipelines and analytics systems

• Design and optimize SQL queries for large datasets

• Build and manage data warehouse solutions like Snowflake or Redshift

• Automate ETL/ELT workflows using Python

• Integrate data from multiple sources for consistent analytics

• Create dashboards using visualization tools

• Optimize system performance for reliability and speed

• Collaborate with stakeholders on reporting needs and architecture

• Document system design, data flows, and integration points
