POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Serve as PRPA's primary data steward for all data types, including geospatial (GIS) data, supporting daily operations.
  • Load data assets into PRPA’s data warehouses following best practices.
  • Support and maintain PRPA’s data warehouse infrastructure.
  • Maintain reports and dashboards for operational needs.
  • Train PRPA staff in end-user reporting tools for data access.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Primarily office-based work environment.
  • Full-time position (37.5 hours/week), Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Formal Education
  • College diploma in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Information Technology.
Related Experience
  • Three to five years of relevant industry experience.
Other Requirements
  • Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, PowerBI, Informatica.
  • Experience with SSIS or similar data ingestion and transformation tools.
  • Experience with Safe FME for geospatial data processing.
  • Proficiency in report writing and data presentation for decision support.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of relational database structures and principles (asset).
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, T-SQL, and ArcGIS (asset).
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistics industries.
  • Ability to learn new skills and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Discretion and tact in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

The starting salary range for this role is $76,166.00 to $95,208.00.
