Job summary

SureWerx is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join our IT team in Vancouver, BC, on a hybrid schedule. You will translate business needs into Power BI dashboards, work with SQL queries, and support data integration efforts under the guidance of senior analysts.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in CS or Math and 0–2 years of experience, with strong communication and collaborative skills to engage stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or Mathematics or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a business systems, application support, or analyst role.
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle) is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Power BI development: transform data sets into dashboards and visualizations.
• Data gathering and preparation: develop data extraction/ transformation scripts and SQL views.
• Assist in documenting requirements from business stakeholders.
• Support data migration, integrations, and reconciliation efforts.
• Provide ongoing Power BI user support and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist in database design, testing, and QA before release of reports.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and rollout of AI tools to reporting processes.
• Assist with training end-users and presenting reports to stakeholders.
