SUMMARY
Data Analyst supports the design and delivery of strategic and operational Supply Chain reporting to operations and senior management with analysis and evaluation of improvement opportunities to support Supply Chain’s productivity agenda. This role is also responsible for driving data quality improvements to enable increased accuracy in reporting and scorecards to drive improved decision making across the business.
This is a 12 months contract position
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce insightful business intelligence related to the Supply Chain Distribution Centres, Transportation teams, and Time Critical businesses globally. Support the development of key processes to design and manage Supply Chain performance management reporting leveraging data analysis while ensuring linkage to the strategic planning process
- Be a key contributor in providing data extraction and insights to a diverse team of specialists and analysts as they develop best-in-class experiences for our customers. Provide analytical support through data collection and analysis to support business decision making. Use expertise in project management, financial modeling, analytics, and insights identification to support strategy.
- Dashboard Management: Design and maintain analytical dashboards, promoting data-driven decision making across the business.
- Data Integrity: Uphold the accuracy of data through systematic quality checks. Work closely with our data engineering team to address any data inconsistencies.
- Data Source Expansion: Proactively seek out and integrate novel data sources to refine decision-making processes. Ensure seamless data ingestion and integration in collaboration with the data engineering team.
- Implement data quality as per the enterprise data quality framework, including data profiling, and data quality rule definition, and implement data quality validations, scorecards, and metrics.
- Supporting enterprise data stewards and other business and technical colleagues to develop business glossary terms and data attribute definitions, recording data lineage, and using this information for data enablement throughout the company.
- Contribute to project deliverables independently with oversight by the Analytics Lead as needed; span collaboration with stakeholders to the full BI development cycle (data capture to BI integration and implementation).
- Data Communication: Distill complex data findings into clear and actionable insights for both tech-savvy and non-technical audiences.
EXPERIENCE
- 2-4 years of relevant and demonstrable experience in the business intelligence and analytics field.
- Experience in working with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, building interactive reports, complex dashboards.
- Data mining capabilities with ability to evaluate data and derive actionable insight and make recommendations to continuous improvements.
- Proficiency in using SQL to query large relational databases and ability to build and maintain processes to extract & integrate data from various sources.
- Exposure to could-based platforms (Azure, Snowflake, others) and data science tools (R, Python, Apache Spark, others)
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams with ability to work on multiple projects at once, while routinely reprioritizing tasks to manage and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment.
- Experience in data mapping and data profiling
- Business acumen :ability to think from an overall “best for business” perspective.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/ team effectiveness – ability to communicate to various levels of management.
EDUCATION
- University/College degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- Microsoft certification (preferred): Power BI Data Analyst Associate
