Data Analyst (Data Entry)

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.

With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social, and economic best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution center in Oakville.

We are currently recruiting for 3 full-time Data Analyst (Data Entry) to support our Data Governance, and Management team.

Position Overview

The Data Analyst will work within a team of analysts to enter and maintain the centralized master data repository in SAP for the region. Ensure accuracy and timely input of data including material and vendor masters, contracts, info records, source lists and USL requests while following established policies and procedures. Deliver high quality results to meet or exceed customer expectations and project deadlines. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving data issues escalating as necessary. Going beyond routine questioning to find underlying causes of problems or discrepancies to identify and recommend sound solutions.

The Data Analyst is responsible to analyze processes and procedures to identify ideas for improvements or automation. The Data Analyst will supply timely and effective communication to all customers. Will be responsible to generate, analyze and run various reports as needed to ensure accurate output to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze incoming data requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Research and validate data attributes for data requests prior to input into SAP system.
  • Timely and accurate input and maintenance of master data in SAP including material masters, vendor masters, EFT information, contracts, info records, source lists and USL management.
  • Timely and effective verbal and written communication to all customers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
  • Identify root causes of problems or discrepancies and recommend sound solutions.
  • Self-audit completed work to deliver high quality results to customers of data and reports.
  • Communicate pertinent information and raise issues to applicable manager in a timely and professional manner, enabling timely problem solving and issue/risk management.
  • Work co-operatively with internal and external customers to fully understand the customer’s requirements.
  • Work closely with customers for knowledge sharing, mentoring and training.
  • Responsible for data mining and analysis as required.
  • Run predetermined reports that support a variety of data management processes, customer requirements and standards adherence.
  • Provide support to plan, develop, evaluate and make recommendations for process improvements or automation.
  • Provide support to implement data changes.
  • Understand business metrics and work as a team player to reach goals.
  • Assist with projects relating to data, as assigned
  • Responsible for cross training staff and maintaining training manuals for Data processes to ensure optimum data resources.
  • Willingness to assist with other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of work experience in data management functions
  • Proficient demonstrated computer skills including MS Office, SAP report generation and Excel (Intermediate level)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and prioritization abilities, with the aptitude and capability to manage multiple activities/demands concurrently.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and pride while taking ownership of assigned duties.

Travel

  • Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
